🍮 Salted Caramel Sauce Recipe

This Salted Caramel Sauce is smooth, buttery, and deeply flavorful. Made with simple pantry ingredients, it comes together in minutes and tastes far better than store-bought.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature, cut into pieces
  • ½ cup heavy cream, warm
  • 1 tsp sea salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions
 

  • 1️⃣ Melt the sugar: Add sugar to a medium saucepan over medium heat.Stir constantly as it melts and turns amber in color (about 5–7 minutes).
  • 2️⃣ Add butter: Once sugar is fully melted and deep amber, carefully add butter.Whisk until fully combined (mixture will bubble vigorously).
  • 3️⃣ Add cream: Slowly pour in warm heavy cream while whisking continuously.Let the sauce boil gently for 1 minute.
  • 4️⃣ Season: Remove from heat. Stir in salt and vanilla.Taste and adjust salt if needed.
  • 5️⃣ Cool & store: Allow sauce to cool slightly — it will thicken as it cools.
